5 Hot Hairstyles for Summer

There are so many awesome things that come with summertime; warm weather, pool parties, vacations, cute clothes, the list is never ending. But one thing that is particularly fun about summer is all of the awesome hairstyles that fit your signature summer style.

I don’t know what it is about summer that gives so much hair inspiration, but I am not mad about it. We partnered with G. Michael Salon to bring you 5 summer hairstyles for everyone.

Beach Babe

This look is so simple and chic. Beachy waves are the top hair trend for summer and it’s no secret why. This style can be dressed up or down and looks so effortless and fun. An added bonus to this textured look is that it makes for great day 2 hair.

Two Little Piggy(tail)s

This look is the ultimate hybrid of the fishtail braid and pigtails. It doesn’t really get any cuter than this. The only way to describe this look is sweet and girly and it is everything you need for summer. This would go great with a festival look and can be worn alone or you could add a funky floppy hat. These can really transition into any look and can be worn anywhere. WARNING: you will become obsessed with this.

Crazy Girlfriend

This name fits this style perfectly because you are getting a 2-for-1 here: on one side you have an edgy “pancake dutch braid”, then you get soft romantic waves that somehow come together to make a beautiful pair…. Told you, crazy girlfriend. This style is awesome for summer because you have the luxury of having your hair down but don’t have to deal with it being all over your neck in the summer heat because of the braid. And let’s face it, who doesn’t love a funky braid.

Beach Bunny

These beachy waves paired with this fluffy top bun is everything we needed for summer. This style can work for any length of hair as long as you you can get the top into a bun and texture the under layer. You can take this look from a busy day of errands, to the beach, and then out for the night. This is a great style for a day when you know you won’t have a lot of time for touch ups because the more texture this style has the better.

BANG-ing Braid

These braided bangs are so funky and fresh (cue Missy Elliot), It mimics a waterfall braid without the fall out. It is so different and fun that it is the perfect style to amp up any summer outfit. You can mimic a bang even if you don’t have any cut into your hair, because let’s face it, bangs are a huge commitment that not everyone is prepared for. This looks great with straight hair or you can kill two birds with one stone and add beachy waves to look super trendy.

After you accomplish all of these looks you will have the perfect stockpile of tricks up your sleeve to get your summer started. Don’t be afraid to add to these looks to make them fit your personal style; like I said earlier, one of the best parts of summer are the endless hair options.
