On May 24, we will be hosting a stroke awareness and prevention event coordinated by a loyal RaeLynn's family.
The Huizinga's have experienced the severity of strokes first hand as they took the life of a loved one almost two years ago. Now, this south side family is trying to raise awareness as almost 80 percent of strokes can be prevented.
The event called “Linda’s Legacy; Getting to the heart of stroke prevention 2014" will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Charter Crossing which is the building where our boutique is located (next to the Greenwood Park Mall).
Visitors will be able to enjoy two concerts with performances by local artists: Tristan Blaine and South Six 5 featuring Andrew Butcher and Jacob Bates. Our boutique will be hosting a fashion show which will showcase our summer dress collection worn by models who hold state and national pageant titles.
The event is free, but various raffles will be held to raise funds for the American Heart Association. Donations will also be accepted. T-shirts with a custom logo for the event will be sold for $15.
The event is open to the public and all are welcome to join in raising awareness for stroke prevention.
Comments will be approved before showing up.
