Father's Day Gift Guide For Every Style of Dad
There is no denying that every dad deserves the world on Father’s Day. But how do you repay the man who did all of the late night Boogie Man checks, who jumped your car in the pouring rain after you left your lights on, the one who when you fell down told you to brush it off and try again, and the one who works endless hours to make sure you have more than what you need and everything you want? Well that is near impossible but you can show him how much you appreciate all he does by giving him the best Father’s Day ever. Here are a few gifts to show the best dad ever that he is appreciated.
Why do dads love golf, no one knows… it is just a dad thing. So do your dad a favor and rather than trying to come up with an elaborate day filled with 101 things to do, give the man what he wants and buy him a round of golf. Pro Tip: Call now to make him a tee time at his favorite golf course because slots fill up quick (don’t forget to reserve him a cart as well)! It wouldn’t hurt to throw in a few golf accessories to help him step up his game. For those who are not golf-literate (like myself) any sporting goods store has a slew of cool golf accessories that any dad would love. Pro Tip: Dick’s Sporting goods has an awesome Father’s Day Sale on almost all of their golf stuff (including this watch).
(Not So)Trendy Dad
You may think that you and your dad don’t have much in common when in comes to the fashion front…. Wrong. Everyone loves a good pair of shoes. So whether your dad is fashion forward or super sporty, you can find a pair a shoes that fits his style and gets you some brownie points. (If you have a dad that is far from fashion forward, this is a great time to try to bring his wardrobe into this century with a cool pair of shoes.)
You may not assume this, but dads love projects. Not like the rebuild the fence project, but the kind of projects where they get to feel like a man because they made something cool. Example: my dad loves to make corn hole boards… In order to do these projects they all require the same thing…. TOOLS. Go out to Lowe's and get your dad the latest and greatest tool that he has had his eye on. You probably won’t know this off the top of your head so you will probably have to ask him about this one.
You may not have known it, but your dad loved when you used to bring home finger paintings and crayon scribbled family portraits. But now that you’re not 5 anymore, those exact gifts may not be as cute as before (even though our art skills probably haven’t evolved much since then, so they would look about the same). BUT, there are other sentimental gifts that are cheap that I am sure any dad with any style and any interest would love. Things like this could be a cute picture frame with an old picture of you (& your siblings) with your dad; or a nice card with a recreated picture of you & your siblings when you were little (funny and sweet, double bonus). Francesca’s has a lot of cute rustic Father’s Day frames that are pretty inexpensive.
But don’t stress. You know your dad better than anyone. So whatever you get him, whether it is on this list or not, he is sure to love it because it came from you.
Happy Father’s Day
