Last night we saw one of the BIGGEST red carpet events of the season, and you know that means we saw some great fashion and some not so great fashion! We know you fashion folks love to dive in as much as we do, so stay tuned, get cozy (with some coffee on this chilly Monday) and keep on reading to see our favorite trends and the most worn trends of the night!
Last night we saw this stunning look absolutely TAKE OVER the Golden Globes red carpet! These lovely ladies went for a classic, timeless super structured white gown. While it was easily the biggest trend we saw, each dress seemed to employ its own individuality and really accentuate the lady wearing it. You heard it here first- white isn't just for weddings here in 2020!
Ladies in burgundy absolutely graced the red carpet last night at the Golden Globes. While we saw countless gorgeous looks that covered the gamete (Helen Mirren in her velvet gown). For the sake of time, we narrowed it down to two of our favorite burgundy looks from last night. Busy Phillips absolutely stunned in this burgundy, full-sequin gown. We love that the gown was such a simple cut and design to balance out the drama of the all sequined look. With no surprise, the ever-gorgeous Sophia Vergara absolutely stunned in this form-fitting gown. We LOVE the flattering geometric lining in the charcoal gray for a subtle sparkle.
Arguably one of the best trends we are seeing Hollywood as a whole and loved seeing in red carpet photos from last night is the inclusion of curvy and plus-sized celebrities. These two ladies absolutely stunned in two looks that are breaking the red carpet mold. Beanie Feldstein in this stunning black number is one of the most beautiful gowns we've seen. This dress was all in the details from the applique on the off-the-shoulder neckline to the gentle shimmer in the skirt. Nina Parker graced the red carpet in this drama-filled gold number that knocked our socks off! Everything about this silhouette and style has us dying to see what else our curvy stars have up their sleeves for the next red carpet event! Peep that cowl neck as well! Hot new trend? Just maybe!
You know we had to get some red in from the looks we saw on the red carpet last night. Red is always such a classic color and we absolutely loved seeing these takes on it last night at the Golden Globes! We LOVE the structure of the middle dress on Lauren Graham and the one-shoulder trend we've seen on so many of the gowns from last night. ScarJo on the right is absolutely stunned in her billowing, dramatic gown (getting vibes from Lady Gaga's 2019 Golden Globes look). The dress on the left brings on the sexy but classy drama we all know and love on the red carpet!
We were absolutely *dying* over this new trend we got to see during last night's Golden Globes! Texture is about to be the next new "big thing" and these three ladies gorgeously displayed some examples! The first example on the left has two beautiful layers of texture. We adore the sheer top layer of skirt over a shorter under layer. Additionally, this green gown features some stunning 3D floral sequin work that gave beautiful dimension to this long-sleeved gown. Second, we have this eggplant colored dress with a beaded top and stunning fringe detailing on the bottoms section. We love this fringe look as a new trend (hello 20s fashion making a comeback). The gold dress on the end displays not only more beautiful 3D beadwork but a silhouette that is a definite trend alert!
When we're talking about the Golden Globes red carpet we expecting our favorite stars to bring the best of the best gowns and looks! While we love all of the ones we have shared today, there were so many more we fell in love with, but just couldn't share them all. This last look is one that had our staff and Glamour Girls just couldn't get over, so we *had* to share it as the overall winning look of the night!
This. Gown. Drama, class, texture, and sparkle. This dress has it all! The flared skirt is made of layers of light material, giving a feathered fishtail look that we are in LOVE with!
Again we are seeing some sparkle in geometric patterns that flatter the wearer and we are *here* for this stunning blue/white/grey color!
Thanks so much for reading this blog post! We would love to hear your thoughts on favorite and least favorite gowns from this year's Golden Globes! Stay tuned this week for a recap on tux trends from the event and later in the season we will keep you updated on the trends seen at the MET Gala!
